Okay, so i have done al the steps. But when it was finished i discoverd that Windows still was not activated. Dragon Dictate For Mac 3 User Guide on this page. The key i use is still not working.
Does this mean i need to get a new key? Or are there other ways that i can fix this??
I appreciate your help. ***I assume that your Win8/ 8.1 was activated before you installed Win 10. Yes?*** Start button >left side, Settings >select Update and Security >left side, select Activation Is there a button on the right to Activate Now or something like that? Can you follow the prompts to activate? If nothing works, go back to Win 8.1..( assuming you have not deleted the windows.old yet ) Start button >left side, Settings >select Update and Security >left side, select Recovery >under Go back to Windows 8.1, click Get started. I have recently upgraded my Windows 8 Pro to Windows 10 using the upgrade tool. Are you referring to Media Creation Tool?
I used the same tool to install Win 10 on my 2 laptops and I was never asked to activate. They were activated automatically. When you ran the Tool, did you pick the Upgrade this PC now option? If yes, perhaps, that is the reason why.
Run the Tool again, but this time select Create installation media for another PC option. That creates a Win 10 ISO file.>Right click at the ISO >click Mount >click Setup.exe. Installation will begin. This method allows you to keep your files, settings and apps, or you can keep nothing. This method does not require product key to activate. I have a small issue with the tool, when i follow your steps it should say that i can keep my data and programs right? But this part i see for a few seconds on the screen, it seems like its just skipping that page.
Now i have pressed the cancel button because i am not sure if i will keep the data. Should i just continue or what do you think? You did not wait long enough.
The page that asks you to keep your data or keep nothing will return and it will stay on till you make the choice. Run the ISO again.
What's wrong with 'keeping' your data and programs? If you were to upgrade through Windows Update ( the MS preferred way ), all your files, settings and apps would have been carried over automatically.
So, what's the difference? Okay, so i have done al the steps.
But when it was finished i discoverd that Windows still was not activated. The key i use is still not working.
Does this mean i need to get a new key? Or are there other ways that i can fix this??

Hi, Have you tried my suggestions above?
This issue can be caused the activation status fail to take in Windows 10, there could be several reasons. Please check my suggestions and hope it can be helpful. Also, you can feedback this issue in Windows Feedback app and Microsoft is always there to collect issue and feedbacks to get improvement.
Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help, and unmark the answers if they provide no help. If you have feedback for TechNet Support, contact tnmff@microsoft.com. I am going to wait the 48 hours to see if it activate automatically BEFORE I attempt to reinstall Win 8.1. Personally, this is a lot of BS.
I have been totally unable to install Win 10 Pro on my Win 7.1 Pro laptop, and I am not the only one with this problem. Microsoft never properly beta tested the install process. I use FreeBSD on most of the PCs in my network. Obviously, I belong to several *.nix forums. They are having a field day knocking Microsoft for this update debauchery. However, as we are so fond of saying, they will get it right in the next release version. Oh, yes I did respond using the Windows Feedback app.
You don't want to know what I told them though.
