Saori Destiny Japanese Chaos Rarity
Looks epic awesome!! Update; official english site!! Update: western launch November 17, 2017 Perhaps it will have co op like Zombie Army Trilogy, that would be incredible. Tamsoft does have online experience with Senran Kagura Estival Versus handling 10 players plus hordes at 60 fps, and their co op experience with Neptune vs Zombie Army, its possible for SGZH to support 5 players online coop, especially if they want to optimize sales.
I really like the character designs, for an anime art direction, the characters look cool and 'realistic' without being supermodels like the Onechanbara characters. Of course there are critics that label them as 'generic', but that completely misses the artistic expression that protagonists don't have to look like superstars to look good and matter in the plot. Some people say the faces are the same, I say they are crazy and should get an eye exam. That's like saying DOA faces are all the same. They have their obvious differences in complexion and overall appearance.
Apr 10, 2017. Japanese, unlike English, allows all pronouns to be omitted from sentences when they can be inferred from context. Haruhi of Ouran High School Host Club is a very rare female user of this pronoun, which makes it easier for people to confuse her for a boy. Neko-Arc Chaos from Melty Blood. XD as for costume customization, I would think it would have customization on par with Z2 Chaos, but I'm not expecting that. The default uniforms are fine to me, though I would like hair color options to make everyone have black hair, and lots of modern japanese schoolgirl long hairstyle options to choose.
We have yet to see how it controls, but it might play like a TPS, or hybrid. Also one of the gameplay screens shows 2 of the girls together, and I dont think it has a cross merge combination summon mechanic like Z2 Chaos, it could actually have legit online co op.
Plus the girls are promoted as a team of 5, plus the emphasis on guns, this might be an unrelated spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead series and Rebellion's Zombie Army Trilogy (and underrated masterpiece, theres no other zombie shooter game as fun as ZAT) if they play their cards right. Plus we seen how populated and gory Onechanbara can get (example) D3 and Tamsoft really have a new masterpiece in their hands, even labeled as an Onechanbara spinoff, its possible for SchoolGirl Zombie Hunter to go mainstream (or a little higher in the popularity ladder), especially if its gunplay entices the western masses and it has online group co op to get more to jump in. And before anyone nitpicks the graphics. The game could be aiming for 60 frames per second, destructible costumes, and lots of blood and gore, plus large enemy populations (and possibly group co op on top of all that), and perhaps customization, so of course something's gotta give to deliver the full spectrum of gameplay features they wanna include.
Plus as we have seen from games like Zombie Army Trilogy, the most fun games don't need the greatest graphics to look and play good. Now it's a matter if XSEED is gonna localize it.
Well we'll see gameplay at TGS 2016, so there's more to learn. Risa Kubota (CV: Saori Onishi) Weapon: Assault Rifle/Naginata Sayuri Akiba (CV: Asuka Ogame) Weapon: Handgun/Wooden Sword Mayaya Himeji (CV: Chinami Hashimoto) Weapon: Sub-Machinegun/Bat Enami Kamijo (CV: Sayaka Senbongi) Weapon: Sniper Rifle/Kick Attacks Rei Kanazaki (CV: Kaori Ishihara) Weapon: Shotgun/Karate I have nothing against buying games so you can listen to voice actresses moan whenever your character takes under cleavage revealing clothing damage, or gets sprayed with slime or whatever.
In fact I am all for it. But you need to have at least b tier seiyuu. Ok, Saori Onishi is barely b-tier.but she is not enough. Look, I'm not asking for Hana Kana, or Nao Tomoya. But I mean, Kana Asumi hasn't done anything in a while. Rumi Okubo is probably into this sort of thing. Ayana Taketatsu has done worse.
Just give me SOMETHING that will help me get off. School Girl Zombie Hunter is due out for PlayStation 4 in Japan on January 12 for 6,980 yen. For comparison BERSERK MUSOU trailers reminded me Japan games go for exorbitant / expensive prices.
7800 PS4 6800 Vita, forgot what they wanted for PS3 version. Maybe Vita is only that $10~ less. Clicked the wrong video then, Bait and Switch. Screenshots in that other one, budget PS2 going on. Onto the trailer - cutscenes - 400 flashy filters - no real gameplay Well, at least these guys gave me EDF 4.1 before this kinda stuff bankrupts them forever.
They were doing so good to claw themselves out of being budget kusoge. $70 bucks for a budget game. Japan probably won't stand for that either unless they are truly baka!!! For $70 it's got to have online co-op. I mean really, Killing Floor 2 has the kind of co-op SGZH should have Even if the gameplay is ass, it will be ass GOOD with 5 players online co-op!!
Or 128 players would be even better. And Tamsoft is no stranger to co-op. They have that Neptune vs Zombies, EDF, and Senran Kagura Estival Versus online experience. With 50 horde missions, online co-op features are essential for School Girl Zombie Hunter's sales, interest and replay value. O_O I used google translate on the site and the description below says 5 PLAYERS ONLINE CO-OP!!!! O____________O MY GOSH this is the first time a niche developer actually implements a feature that fans know would quintuple the game's replay value, fun factor and significance!!
This is now the Left 4 Dead/Killing Floor/Zombie Army Trilogy of Japanese games!!!! And even better since its unique in its own ways and style, flavor, art and personalities. Anime makes everything better, and SGZH art direction has a great balance of gritty with anime, creating a more realistic beautiful world. Even if the 50 missions are Smash TV sized horde fests, it's still gonna be more than AWESOME!
Also they revealed first print shop bonus features. XSEED really should localize SGZH, though I'm already gonna buy Japan PSN tickets to buy the digital japanese version. Oh yea gotta also extend my PS+.
This is so glorious!!!! Perhaps they will release a co-op trailer!! Also with the first print shop costumes, it hints it might have customization like Onechanbara Z2 Chaos, well maybe not that deep, though who knows.
School Girl Zombie Hunter is shaping up to be the definitive zombie horde game!! They could make a series out of it! Carrier Quietline Air Conditioner Manual. ! Hey, people buy a new FIFA every year, SGZH series deserves to happen. ^.^ well it depends how much it sells, but I think it is having all the features that could make it more profitable than Onechanbara internationally. School girls, guns, zombies, 5 players co-op, and more!!
And all running at 60 frames per second without needing a PS4 Pro!! AND it's a PS4 exclusive (though it should be ported to PC too.) it's realy shaping up to be a masterpiece of masterpieces!! And from the new screens, the graphics look improved too, though of course, with something that has 5 players co-op, destructible clothes, blood, lots of enemies (possibly gore), lots of action, all running at a high framerate, the graphics can only be so high. And that's VERY impressive from a nice budget title standpoint too.
I see now why the amount of money it's going for is so high. It's not some single player movie rental, it's cooperative zombie horde experience that can be shared with others again and again!! ^-^ they gotta make sure the matchmaking/lobbies are done right. We sure don't want it to be like Touhou Genso Rondo where it kicks everyone after a session is over.
It really should have dedicated lobbies with no region filters, and solid user interface. Not expecting dropin dropout co-op, but overall I think the online structure could be stable and cool at least. So 5 players online co op is confirmed!! And it has a leveling and loot system???? Lots of innovative and revolutionary gameplay elements too!!
Now I got more reason to get JPN PSN codes this month!! Gotta get it day 1!!!! I would also get the localized version, XSEED would be missing out on a lot of fan support if they skip it. But they localized SKEV, and Onechanbara, likely to localize PBS, so I think they have SG/ZH in the cards this is sooooooooo AWESOME!!!!! Finally a zombie game with good taste and good design with awesome group concept.
Sure Killing Floor 2 has 6 players co-op, but the characters are bland. Sure High School of the Dead came before, but it has no game at SG/ZH's level of design masterpiece and playability fun factor. Sure L4D and Zombie Army Trilogy are awesome trips, but they have less incentives to play them, lame characters, and not nearly as charismatic as SG/ZH style and atmosphere.
Plus team of 5 >>>>team of 4. Only Tamsoft can make a zombie game this genius and sweet ^-^ and SKEV showed the devs are good at 10 players netcode, so 5 players vs hordes online can be solid.
Plus the story campaign sounds long, having 50 missions, though not sure if the 10 online missions are a part of that or in addition to that. But still, that's still 4 times more stages than Z2 Chaos. They revealed the cover art!! Looks so inspiring!! I didn't even know they had a HSOTD game, and apparently it is beyond terrible. Slotter Mania game for the vita.why? Just fucking why?
Anyways, do you ONLY play zombie themed games affinity? You should just make a catch all thread for these games as opposed to updating 10 different threads. Not even trying to be a huge dick about this, it would just seem easier to me and people could actually, you know, talk about the differences in the games themselves as opposed to thinking this is just some wack advertising thread lol. Anyways, not to keen on the copy zombies aspect, just seems like a cheaply implemented tactic to always have some sort of relevant enemy due to the leveling up factor. This game would be more legit if it did have some kind of cross over with some other zombie anime or games. You should just make a catch all thread for these games as opposed to updating 10 different threads. Not even trying to be a huge dick about this, it would just seem easier to me and people could actually, you know, talk about the differences in the games themselves as opposed to thinking this is just some wack advertising thread lol.
Hey just because I'm the most expressive and open opinion hyped gamer here, doesn't make it advertising. Also a catch all thread is lame, no one wants to shovel for specific treasures they would otherwise not be aware of. There is an Overwatch thread (not a Blizzard/arena shooter thread), The Wolverine movie thread (not a Marvel movies thread), Destiny thread, Nier Automata thread, fucking No Man's Sky thread (which doesn't even deserve a thread, but I don't invade that thread), Supergirl TV series thread (instead of a DC TV shows thread).
There are individual threads about a specific game/thing on this board, so I dunno why single me out. SG/ZH is a new IP.
It's an Onechanbara spinoff but SG/ZH is a rarity, and deserves its own topic. This game would be more legit if it did have some kind of cross over with some other zombie anime or games. It is already legit!! It doesn't need cross over, though I don't mind if they add Onechanbara characters as DLC playables (even Aya, Saaya, Kagura and Saki could primary guns, with their iconic weapon as secondary.) but it still can stand on its own without needing crossovers.
It's a brand new IP, standalone game. Thinking it needs a cross over to be more legit, is like Valve fans thinking Left 4 Dead is nothing special unless Half Life characters are mixed in with it.
Or Blizzard fans thinking Overwatch is nothing special until WoW and StarCraft characters are playable and involved in the lore. School Girl Zombie Hunter is a masterpiece in itself that really can't be related to another other modern game, even Onechanbara is a different genre in itself.
SG/ZH is a one of a kind zombie shooter that plays differently and has an original story to it. While it shares some concept and themes of other franchises, comparing them would be like comparing pizza to a melted cheese sandwich. They both have cheese but as a whole they are worlds apart. Do people call The Walking Dead a Night of the Living Dead ripoff?
Or calling Scream or Halloween ripoffs of Friday the 13th? It would be shallow to do so, and not looking at the full picture. Like how TWD reinvented zombie survival concept, so does SG/ZH in its own way and style. Lol I mean you are calling the game a masterpiece and have yet to play it. If there was more tiddy then maybe we could call it a masterpiece in progress but I am not really seeing any of that.
If it has a pc version things could get interesting with the introduction of boob and butt sliders. That would certainly add a large amount of depth to the game hey I was right about ARK SE being a masterpiece long before I even started playing it myself. Well yea opinions differ and its not for everyone, but nothing wrong with evaluating a game as a masterpiece before playing it. We evaluation masters know how valuable a game can be before we even play it. Onechanbara Z2 Chaos is a masterpiece as well, but I knew that game would have been better with multiplayer online co op, so in a lot of ways it's not up to the standards that SG/ZH is raising and refining.
And even co op aside, the formula as a whole is in such a way that really crates a fascinating experience unlike anything else. Just like when Left 4 Dead game out, it revolutionized how zombie and co op games are played. As well as Zombie Army Trilogy with its own style, and Killing Floor 2 with its own flavor of cooperation vs hordes.
SG/ZH contributes a priceless flavor of action shooter with zombie theme that continues to innovate the genre with inspiring and unique gameplay experiences, mechanics and hybrid formulas and concepts to introduce a new kind of masterpiece. Just the simple fact that the creators of Onechanbara actually did something totally unexpected and different, so bold as to create a new game that coexists with Onechanbara universe, yet presents a genre that japanese developers are just barely exploring. It's really great that western devs aren't the only ones trying to invent new and fun shooters. These geniuses place gameplay above graphics, and SG/ZH is their first step into a high level of online cooperation not experienced from these developers before on console. Well of course there is EDF, but EDF and SG/ZH are very different themes and categories. Plus outside the multiplayer stuff, SG/ZH is looking to have a pretty interesting story, I think it might have some more depth to it than the usual Onechanbara, especially with SG/ZH having a more squad survival atmosphere. They look different, you can see differences in their faces, eyes, lips, nose, and they don't have the same skin tone.
I mean compare Rei and Enami's skin tone, nothing alike. Also the most popular shooters generally use the same body type, it's more effecient for development. And the girls are generally the same age, it's natural for teens to have similiar body type especially if they so happen to have similiar measurements.
I mean come on, even anime like Dragon Ball Z have characters that generally share the same build, and they aren't related. Like Android 16 and Olibu have basically the same face. Kids in South Park all generally have the same head and body size unless they are fat.
SG/ZH girls have different faces if you examine them, Mayaya and Sayuri really look more different besides hair and weapon. Anyways found a new trailer. About 14 more days until release!! And KOFXIV graphics patch is the day before!
So can marathon KOFXIV with the new graphics online, and then School Girl Zombie Hunter the day after!! So much epic awesomeness!! And there's an event so previous trailer showed some of the combat mechanics, if they launch another trailer, it could feature the 5 players online coop! Yea even though the co op is only like 10 missions, they later ones sound super tough considering it does have a Leveling system, and there is info about stronger guns/loot to obtain.
So powering up may be required to stand a chance with the highest co op missions!! And SG/ZH does have more co op stages than Streets of Rage 2 game as a whole.
And the 50 single player story missions sounds very epic!! Maybe it might even have some nonlinear mission progression, kind of like Onechanbara has a part where some of the missions can be completed in any sequence. Well it sure is looking to be more incredible than a lot of other zombie games. The original L4D only had 20 stages, and SG/ZH has 50 stages with more depth to its plot and more cutscenes and voiced lines. Maybe the co op missions are playable from the start, I would play that first, then play campaign to get better levels and stuff to do the more challenging co op missions.
ZAT's horde mode only had like 5 maps, but SG/ZH's 10 co-op missions sound very replayable and awesomeness, especially with 5 players co op!! Well yes, KF2 has 6 players co op, but its boring with just a bunch of creeps, old timers and beef jerkies to choose from, it lacks the aesthetics and elegant fundamentals of SG/ZH. Though SG/ZH would be better if it had a FPV option included, more immersive like that, hey maybe they could patch in VR support! Its strange when games have either TPV or FPV but not both.
SW battlefront has both, some mmorpgs have both, even Bushido Blade. And L4D could be modded to have both options.
Ah well, at least it has TPV, glad they didn't make it isometric, that would've been annoying. Oh yea I wonder if all 5 characters will be present in the missions together in single player. I do see like 2 or 3 together, but co op can handle 5 players at the sametime, so should the single player missions as well. It is a squad we are a part of after all.
Based on previous Onechanbara games, I would guess the 50 missions may be organized as some perhaps being solo missions, others having the team split up in pairs or sending 3 on a mission, and some missions might be character exclusive, though think there may be someone missions that involve all 5. Well with 50 missions, there's a lot of creative different ways they could do things. Though I think character choice should always be up to the player. Though maybe there's an unlockable free mode like Senran Kagura games have for completed missions. And they still haven't even touched upon the customization systems, with Onechanbara history, there's probably some indepth customization. Z2 Chaos has primary weapon, secondary weapon, subweapon, and slots of rings. Rocket Launchers are confirmed in SG/ZH, so think the equip system and weapon selection more customizable than it appears.
Though maybe each character has unique signature weapon type and melee attack, though maybe their weapon type can be changed. The rocket launcher factor seems like even specialists can change their gun class, unless rocket launchers are the exception. I dont like eating in the room, but maybe pasta between sessions.
Custom soundtracks, I dunno, some games I prefer the ambient audio with no music, more realistic that style. They have melee weapons as seen in the 2nd trailer and official site.
Rei's hair is more like mine, though personality wise I have a little more in common with Sayuri, Mayaya and Risa. Sayuri Akiba (handgun) A girl who comes from an honorable samurai family. She likes both hero things and robot animea result of the samurai code of chivalry driven into her since she was young. She has a cheerful personality and hates dishonest behavior.
She sometimes collides with those around her due to her clumsy way of life, but is strangely able to become friends. She is the type to keep a promise by all means once it’s made.
She worries for Risa, who had an unfortunate experience during her childhood, and treats her like a younger sister. She has a strong desire to protect others, and tends to act without thinking and get caught up in her surroundings. Despite being at the mercy of Sayuri’s behavior, the other four survivors find the strength to continue fighting the zombies.
Akiba’s grandfather is the famous martial arts master, Gengoroumaru Akiba.' Risa Kubota (assault rifle) 'Having lost her parents and older brother at a young age, she has been living while always fighting against loneliness and the fear of death. She was taken in by Sayuri’s family, who was close friends with her father, and from a young age taught to wield the long sword as part of her spiritual training. She is cowardice in battle and survives by relying on Akiha. She has the ability to fight, but is still afraid. Because she requires others’ support, she has a dependent constitution in that she is unable to decide things on her own.
However, she is strong when it’s the final moment and there are no other options.' Mayaya Himeji (submachinegun) 'A close friend of Enami Kamijo.
Outside of cute things, she likes mysterious things like fortune-telling and the occult. She is the type to often fade out her surroundings and focus only on the thing that interests her petting a paralyzed puppy in the middle of the road, for example, leaving herself likely to be hit by a car. Mayaya is Enami’s childhood friend who causes trouble for her and cannot be ignored.
The two will often take action together, and Mayaya also acts as the lubricating oil that plays mediator for the lonely Enami and her schoolmates.' Enami Kamijo (sniper rifle) 'Similar to her boyish appearance, she speaks and conducts herself like a man. She is the oldest of the five survivors. As the clear-headed athletic, she is an asset to those around her, but she keeps up a secret effort, continuing to fight on despite the difficult circumstances.
If someone is inferior to her, she thinks that they’re not making a great enough effort, and she is often misunderstood as a cold genius because when someone comes to her for advice she pushes them away by saying things like, “just do your best.” She and Mayaya are childhood friends since their parents know each other.' Rei Kanazaki (shotgun) 'An idol since middle school, but she has suspended her idol activities to concentrate on schoolwork. Her entertainment office sells her as an innocent, princess idol, but in reality she is an abnormal girl who loves disputes and bloody topics. A young actress tried to force Rei, who is known for her role as the lunatic heroine in a B-grade horror movie, to retire. When she suddenly went missing, it seemed like Rei’s true character would be revealed through entertainment world gossip, so she suspended her idol activities to let things cool off. Her mother is also a former actress.
She dreams of becoming an actress to surpass her mother.' Enough about my hair!
XD as for costume customization, I would think it would have customization on par with Z2 Chaos, but I'm not expecting that. The default uniforms are fine to me, though I would like hair color options to make everyone have black hair, and lots of modern japanese schoolgirl long hairstyle options to choose from would be cool too. So it releases in 10 days, that's. 0.0 well on playasia, it's $66.99, so I should have enough for the digital version on PSN. I think SG/ZH can only be more epic than Z2 Chaos.
I mean it has so much more to it. A 50 mission sized campaign (Onechanbara is like 16 story missions), squad of 5 (without needing cross merge combination to summon them. I hate tag team.
.though I would like hair color options to make everyone have black hair Why would you do this? Cause while it's kind of cool how they give different hair colors to make the characters 'stand out' more, I like more natural hair color, and from what I seen, even modern japanese students commonly have black hair. People don't need to dye their hair to be a unique individual, even in anime (like take the movie Akira for example, in that movie, almost everyone has black hair, which is ok and natural and cool ) I mean in my opinion, when an ethnicity has a common natural hair color, it's absurd to oversaturate the franchises with all these dyed hair color designs. I mean it's just as awkward as giving black people anything that isn't black hair (why the heck does Virtua Fighter Vanessa have white hair? What's wrong with black hair for a black woman?).
I mean it's not wrong for someone to dye their hair, but when it comes to hair, I like natural color, not fake blonde, or reddish brown hair, and blue hair (lol). And characters like Chun Li look better with black hair, in my opinion. It's just a color preference. Even KOF's Athena looks better with black hair, though she's cool with purple too, As for Mai, she actually looks great with brown hair, but black hair is beautiful too. It's nice to have options. Especially with SG?ZH featuring 'normal girls', they would look more authentic Japanese with black hair, in my opinion.
Yes people with dyed hair exist in Japan, obviously, but with Onechanbara history of customization, they could add hair color options there, besides costumes, underwear and perhaps accessories customization. 3 to 4 more days to release!!
I think the online community will be around longer than say, Touhou Genso Rondo (which after the first day, no one is found in searches), but TGR didnt even have dedicated lobbies, it disconnects players after the match is over. I think SG/ZH has dedicated lobbies. Though I'm not sure how tough the co op missions are, would even the 1st co op mission require playing through the campaign first to stand a chance? There are 10 co op missions, so they sound like high level content, and of course online mission 10 might require the highest levels and highest tier weapons obtainable.
Vw Serial Numbers Decoded. I wonder if co op is even choosable at the start without needing to start campaign, well it might be its own separate mode. Maybe the first few co op missions are possible at level 1 with the basic weapons.
Maybe the co op missions can be used to level grind too. Not sure if they reward weapons though. This could be the game that can benefit from a psn community and friends list for it, that would help people find more teammates to do the co op with. I was right about ARK Survival Evolved and look at its PS4 reception, most of the servers are totally full and its the best selling PSN game of 2016 in europe, with over 1000 ratings on NA PSN and 4/5 stars (which is above average). I'm sure SG/ZH is gonna be the L4D of Japanese shooters, and even greater!!
Well ok ok, the campaign doesn't support co op, but 50 story missions is massive for a squad zombie game (makes RE Operation Raccoon City look like a demo), and 10 online co op missions is better than no co op at all, so it has a lot more going for it than Onechanbara. Plus shooters are more popular than hack n slash, and easier to understand. It took me two days to beat story campaign (and still have about 2 optional missions to beat).
It really is awesome! It's much more story deep and more challenging than Onechanbara. There's more variety of mission objectives and level design layout as well.
Each mission feels like it has its own differences. And the berserk zombies annd explodable zombies add more tension. Every single mission has unique cutscenes and lots more dialogue than their previous games (unless you count Senran Kagura games, but for a story that focuses on 5 characters, the girls has a lot of social interactions and a little more indepth character development going on, which is rare for story from the Onechanbara universe that are basically like 'whatever' and are light on story. ) it is interesting if a later Onechanbara project might adopt the SG/ZH girls into the story or even talked about.
But even as a standalone, it is a heartwarming survival story overall. And the game itself has one of a kind action with lots of charisma and epic experiences. And this game has some of the most impactful explosion effects.
