Hawaiian Adventure Pack And A6m2 Zero Dlcs For Microsoft Flight
I started playing Microsoft Flight a while ago, shortly after it was released. I took a break from it but I bought a DLC pack for it when it was discounted on Steam back then. Recently I wanted to play the game againm, before the GFWL closes, with the content I already purchased. I am able to play the game through Steam just fine. When I logged into the game and tried activating the content, the game identified my keys just fine showing the name and download size, but when I tried to download them, it gave me a connection error. Later I tried to activate the keys on [account.xbox.com] - a few of them activated just fine (Hawaiian Adventure Pack, Maule M-7 260C and North American P-51 Mustang), but the rest (Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero, Alaskan Wilderness Pack, P-40 and F4U Corsair) did not, throwing an XBOS-4000 error.

After that, when I logged to game, all of the codes said that they are invalid. Somehow I managed to log into my Marketplace client later that day, but only once and from a different PC.
However, I didn't found any of these DLCs on my list. I know that purchasing from Games from Windows - Live! Marketplace is disabled, but every source I found is claiming that I can still download my purchased content. I also found signs of people successfully claiming the codes from Steam on Steam community forum on as far as December 2013, as well as getting achievements for downloading a free preview which does not work for me.
Do you have any clues whether I can somehow download the missing content and activate the rest of my keys, or fix the issues with the keys? Maybe half of my keys were invalid in the first place? Maybe keys activation was disabled? Maybe I just have trouble with Marketplace, due to my ISP/network configuration? Maybe I can work around the issue by downloading the patches from a third party website, at least for the content that I activated on the website (Hawaiian pack and two airplanes). Any help or clue would be welcome and thank you in advance:). I am also unable to get the 'Download a Free Preview' achievement.
[www.trueachievements.com] suggests that it's becuase Marketplace was closed down, but I see people obtaining this achievement [www.trueachievements.com]. Any clue on this one? Edit: Just got an answer to my mail to the support. So they are still supporting the game. Original Post: It's sad, but it seems this game is dead. Had the same problem where all my DLCs are gone and I can't redeem it as all the keys steam gives me are invalid.
I sent a mail to the support on Monday (6 days ago) and didn't received a response till now. Either my opinion that you can expect a response to such serious problems within a week is wrong or they just don't care about us customers anymore as the server are going to be shut down soon.

If the sales are similar, that means they are getting more bang for there buck with the cockpitless aircraft. Thats a scarry though.
The P-51 is a popular aircraft, with the Maule a relitive unknown, so its not fair. I say put the P-51 up against a full 172 and see how it fairs. Its really a no brainer. This practically invites those with other interests to take the dominant sales position.
Funk, if you spend a ton of money making the deluxe version, then your revenue has to first cover what you spent before you get profit. I have no idea what the sales look like, but working on an aircraft for 3 months is not going to be cheap. It wouldn't surprise me if it ran into 15-20k if you have a couple of people on the team. As for me, no matter what platform I am using there is only one add-on aircraft I will buy and that is a 172 with VC.
I broke that rule to buy the Maule because there was no 172 and because I have flown an M-5. This is a decent substitute for now. Well, if the Maule and P-51 are selling the same number of units, with the Maule selling for almost 3x the cost, it sounds like there could be more profit to be made with a full VC plane. Hopefully MS sees that too. The Maule may takex 3x more dev time, but only cost's twice as much.
So for the same units sold, they are making more profit per item on the P-51, and they can make more products similar to the P-51 for less cost. Its basic economics. Even if the Maule pulled in the same profit, they would lean more on the P-51 since they can make more products faster, and thus get more sales. I dont blame the suits at MS for doing this, as any company is a money making venture. I just dont think that once people have 1 or 2 cockpitless aircraft, they will move on and not buy more. They dont have a lot of replay value, and cant be used on many of the missions, making there game value even smaller in the long run.
Basically they are great short term money makers, but wont last long. Im confident that the P-40 sales will drop off a lot vs the P-51 or Zero since its now old news. The 'Whoooo' moment has faded, and I think people want more.
